UFC Gym to open 15 venues in Singapore

Fitness brand Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) will open 15 gyms across Singapore within the next decade, its eighth location in Asia among more than 150 worldwide franchises.

Partnering with local firm NF Fitness, UFC will open its first location by next February, offering fitness classes to individuals and groups as well as training in mixed martial arts.

Adam Sedlack, the group’s gym president, said the franchise’s “train different” philosophy will result in a huge opportunity in Singapore. “The dynamic spirit and energy in Singapore perfectly aligns with what our members will find in a UFC Gym,” he said. Inspiration for the philosophy comes from UFC fighter training practices.

High-intensity interval training schemes and boxing workouts are a feature of its most recent exercise regimen, Class, which will be available in its Singaporean gyms.

In the Singapore retail environment, gyms are becoming hotly pursued tenants for shopping malls for their capacity to build foot traffic.
