Cognac brand Louis XIII has opened its second and third boutiques in Harrods, London and Xi’an, China after its first store opened in Beijing two years ago.
High‐end architecture and design firm RDAI is behind the look of the new boutiques. Denis Montel, the firm’s artistic director and MD said: “The design concept combines the noblest materials with state-of-the-art digital innovations to inspire poetry and feeling, the experience of Louis XIII.”
RDAI has also designed Hermes flagships and stores for Elie Saab.
Each Louis XIII store exhibits a range of editions, offering tailored services and tasting experiences that include food pairing and private limited-edition previews by appointment.
Global executive director Ludovic du Plessis said: “Louis XIII cognac is an icon of French art de vivre and excellence. With these new boutiques, Louis XIII is changing the rules of the wines & spirits game and is writing a new chapter in its history.”
