Travel retailer DFS Group has launched a global festival of food and culture in Singapore.
The launch, “From (DFS) with Love”, sparked off a promotion that will be held at nine DFS airport stores and downtown locations around the world throughout July. It is the first such event put on by the group, and features international-standard ingredients and interactive activities.
Featured at the launch were large chocolate wall installations as well as contributions from local brands, including Awfully Chocolate, Fragrance, Kampong Asia and Anette Ice Cream, who provided guests with selections from their range. The event also invited its 200 attendees to sample unique local snacks popular with travellers. International chocolatier Godiva offered its signature treats in destination-inspired packaging, which is being exclusively pre-launched this month at DFS stores.
DFS Group senior VP of spirits, wines, tobacco, food and gifts, Brooke Supernaw, said: “We are proud to launch ‘From (DFS) With Love’, a new global identity for our growing food and gifts category, and to nominate the month of July as a worldwide festival of flavor and culture in nine of DFS’ most iconic locations.”
