Beauty and healthcare retailer Bonjour Holdings says it expects a return to profitability for the five months to May 31 – as opposed to a loss of roughly HK$57.8 million (US$7.36 million) for the corresponding period last year.
The official announcement, based on a preliminary review of as-yet unaudited accounts, attributed the expected turnaround to a rebound in retail sales, a drop in rental expenses, and the recognition of a one-off loss on a financial asset disposal.
The company is in the process of finalising its interim results for the period and expects to release figures next month.
