Tekka Place to transform Little India heritage district

Upcoming development Tekka Place is on track to open in the Little India heritage district in late 2019.

The structure will feature 70,000sqft of lettable mall retail space – divided among 80 stores – with a five-storey parking facility, as well as residential and office towers. It will target residents of southern Singapore, nearby office workers, tourists and commuters.

The project was developed by Lum Chang Holdings Limited and a fund managed by LaSalle Investment Management Asia.

Lum Chang’s property director Peter Ow said: “Tekka Place’s location, distinct architecture and curated retail offerings capture the vibrancy and personality of Little India. By working closely with our partners and other stakeholders in Little India, we want to offer visitors a chance to immerse themselves in the rich heritage and culture that Little India offers, whilst enjoying a quality shopping and dining experience.”

Knight Frank Singapore’s head of retail Wendy Low said her team would be curating a mix of tenants which we will create bespoke, unique and multi-sensory lifestyle experiences for shoppers.
