MyOutlets Global Halal Hub has closed its operation in Viva Business Park in Chai Chee.

The 10,000sqft outlet was advertised as the sole halal wholesaler in Singapore, and has operated from the premises for more than two years.

A statement from the company released on Facebook pointed to rising rental costs and declining foot traffic as the deciding factor in the closure, while a report in Berita Harian newspaper claimed that the business had been evicted for failure to may two months’ rent.

That report indicated that MyOutlets will be seeking an alternative location or perhaps an overseas venture.
