Thailand’s Pomelo to launch in Malaysia

Thai online fashion marketplace Pomelo is to launch in Malaysia.

The platform, which last year attracted a US$19 million investment from JD, is preparing to offer more than 700 drop-off locations across the country (the majority of them in Kuala Lumpur), to be expanded to 2000 locations as the brand develops. The site will offer a range of payment options, including cash on delivery.

As of yet, the company has not opened a physical Malaysian office, but intends to open one in future.

Pomelo will introduce 100 new fashion styles every week. To better serve the local market, special garment collections marketed for Malaysian holidays (such as Ramadan and Chinese New Year) will be available from time to time.
