Maximal Concepts to open John Anthony at Lee Garden Three

Maximal Concepts will open Chinese restaurant John Anthony at Causeway Bay’s Lee Garden Three on September 21.

The restaurant is inspired by the trade that connected the east and the west during the Qing Dynasty, and will serve Chinese dishes with “innovative, international influences”.

Maximal Concepts is the company behind eateries including Mott 32, Blue, The Flying Elk, Brick House, Double D Genuine Burgers and Shakes, Mercedes Me and Pho Fresh. Like those eateries, John Anthony will focus on sustainable practices including a kitchen composting system, using fully recyclable or biodegradable takeaway containers and decorations using plant-based paints.

The menu was created by Mott 32 group executive chef Lee Man-Sing and John Anthony’s executive chef, Saito Chu who were inspired by journeys along the Spice Routes, blending influences from Cantonese, Szechuan, Hunan and Shandong dishes.
