LCX mall has announced a collaboration with British NYC-based illustrator Jon Burgerman to present “LCX x Jon Burgerman ‘Burgerworld’ – the art of Jon Burgerman in Hong Kong.”
The exhibition opens tomorrow and runs until October 31, featuring new work by the leading “doodle” artist, who has already collaborated with various top-tier brands. His works have been exhibited at the White House and collected by museums.
Burgerman’s collaboration brings his “BurgerWorld” to Hong Kong fans, featuring a world of food characters adorned with googly eyes. The installation has four Insta-worthy zones, including “Doodle Playground”, “Pop Up Art Space”, “Doodle School” and several “Insta! Doodle Walls”, all decorated with the Burgerman characters.
After seeing the installation, shoppers can participate in a creative space at “Doodle School” at LCX during four consecutive weekends from October 7 to 28.
LCX’s Xplus will become the first official point of sale for Jon Burgerman’s doodle merchandise and gifts in Hong Kong. Jon Burgerman himself will visit Hong Kong on October 4 to perform on the spot and showcase his impromptu doodle skills on a giant smartphone decoration.
