Pirata Group to open Pici Shatin

Pirata Group’s neighbourhood pasta bar concept Pici is expanding to Shatin this fall.

The new restaurant will be the fourth and largest Pici yet, as well as the first New Territories outlet for the Pirata Group.

Pici Shatin, located at New Town Plaza, will continue to serve the fresh, handmade, authentic Italian pasta the brand has become known for.

Christian Talpo, Pirata Group’s co-founder, says the company is looking forward to introducing its high-quality daily-made fresh pasta to a wider Hong Kong audience.

Pici Shatin will offer a simple and straightforward menu of pasta dishes, all designed by head chef Andrea Viglione, including Tagliolini, Orecchiette and Lasagna.

The Pici Shatin eatery will seat 130, within what Pirata Group describes as “a homely and cosy ambience”.

The design features enclosed seating booths and divider walls, styled with bric-a-brac and plants. Arched shelves made from steel with woven mesh allow natural light into the restaurant.

Pici Shatin will open next month.
