Luxarity plans pop up in Central

Luxarity popup 2018

Pre-loved luxury goods social enterprise Luxarity is holding a week-long pop-up from November 3–10 at OnTheList’s venue in Central, selling donated luxury fashion items at a fraction of their original price.

Luxarity is the social initiative of the Lane Crawford Joyce Group, dedicated to inspiring responsible consumption and conscious living for all.

This year it has partnered with ConsenSys Social Impact to use blockchain technology to bring transparency to the world of fashion and giving. The collaboration is the first of its kind and will establish a public blockchain on which purchases in store, and cash donations can be tracked.

All proceeds from Luxarity go towards projects and educational grants focusing on sustainability, innovation and conscious production. Proceeds from the Luxarity pop up next month will go towards educational grants for Parsons School of Design & SCAD and a research project on sustainability and recycling for the Hong Kong Research Institute of Textiles and Apparel (HKRITA). In addition, Luxarity in collaboration with ConsenSys Social Impact have organised a Hackathon event to engage social entrepreneurship and the blockchain ecosystem in Hong Kong.
