Harbour City is preparing to host its annual outdoor Christmas lighting display, this year themed “Treasure City”.
The event will involve a series of festive photo spots and activities, the highlight of which is the launch of the world’s largest video kaleidoscope. Visitors can walk through the 16-metre-long, 4.5-metre-high and 4.5-metre-wide kaleidoscope, displaying Christmas-themed scenery such as snowflakes, a Christmas tree, stars and a rainbow tunnel refracted through a triangular mirror and LED screen walls.
Visitors who make a donation to the Hong Kong Blood Cancer Foundation can visit this selfie/video-friendly photo spot.
The mall is also showing a 60-foot-high Christmas tree and a 40-metre-long “Christmas love lock bridge” in the Ocean terminal forecourt. A festive post office “Xmas Post” & “Santa Studio” are also open under the bridge with a large post box and plenty of unique postcards depicting Christmas scenes.
These and other attractions are available for viewing at the mall between now and January 2019.
