Kellogg Cereal Kafe opens in Ang Mo Kio Hub

A Kellogg Cereal Kafe has opened in Singapore – but it is reportedly a shadow of the giant US food company’s New York flagship cafe.

Kellogg reopened its New York City cafe in Union Square in December last year, a stunning 5000sqft described as offering “exciting new ways to explore the unexpected flavors of cereal,” all day, every day.

Oddly, the tiny Singapore version at FairPrice Xtra, Ang Mo Kio Hub, does not open before noon, closing at 8pm, so it is not exactly a breakfast location…

“[It’s] not quite as cool or edgy as its overseas counterparts, but if you’re out and about and really craving just a handful of Froot Loops, it’ll do the trick,” observes Coconuts Singapore.

The Kellogg Cereal Kafe offers a selection of cereals including Corn Flakes, Coco Pops, Rice Krispies, Frosties, and Crunchy Oat Granola, each served with either full cream or low fat milk for $2. Add-ons like pumpkin seeds, dried fruit cost an additional 50 cents.

The New York cafe offers a variety of cereal-inspired dishes throughout the day.
