Emart to open first Traders store in Seoul

Emart will open the first Traders store in Seoul this month.

Set to open on the 14th, the outlet will be the first in South Korea’s capital city. It has been built on the parking lot of Emart’s Wolgye store.

Shinsegae-owned Emart expects to achieve US$12.6 million in annual sales for the outlet. The company plans to sell discounted packaged instant foods and fresh products at prices that could be 45 to 50 per cent lower than average department store prices in the city.

There are currently 15 Traders branches nationwide. Three more are planned to open by the end of this year.
