Maison Kitsune and China’s menswear JoeOne set up JV

French clothing label Maison Kitsune and Chinese menswear brand JoeOne have entered into a joint venture agreement.
The Maison Kitsune China partnership has been tasked with overseeing the brand throughout Greater China. While this is currently limited to a single store in Hong Kong, the firm has plans to open more than 50 venues in China within five years, and will focus on launching three stores within the territory by September.
“We are thrilled to be partnering with JoeOne on this exciting joint venture”, said Maison Kitsune’s cofounder, Gildas Loarec, “which will provide Maison Kitsune with broad resources to boost our business in Greater China. JoeOne’ s deep expertise and knowledge of the Chinese retail market and consumers make them an ideal partner to develop our long-term growth strategy in the region.”
Maison Kitsune currently operates 400 locations worldwide – including its first shop in Seoul, which opened last October.
