Xing Fu Tang Singapore to open first store next month

Taiwanese bubble-tea chain Xing Fu Tang Singapore will open its first store this June.

Located at Century Square, it takes over the space formerly occupied by rival bubble-tea chain Partea.

The takeaway-centric outlet “with limited seating” will serve its range of colourful drinks, including Grapefruit Green Tea and Soda with Handmade Jelly. Along with beverages Xing Fu Tang Singapore will sell soft-serve ice cream.

Before the permanent store opens, Xing Fu Tang will launch a pop-up in Takashimaya’s basement from May 30 to June 16.

A second pop-up in a central location will run for a few months from July.

Brought to Singapore by local company Joy 8 Cafe, the chain plans to open three outlets within six months.

Popular for its brown sugar pearl milk, the chain has 60 outlets in its native Taiwan, and 30 franchised stores worldwide in countries including Japan, Canada and Thailand.
