108 Matcha Saro opens first Southeast Asian store, in Singapore

Japanese cafe chain 108 Matcha Saro is opening its first Southeast Asian store, at Singapore’s Suntec City shopping centre.

Set to open tomorrow (July 26), the take-away concept store will be designed to resemble a traditional ancient Japanese teahouse, located in the basement of the shopping centre.

The 108 Matcha Saro stores in Japan feature four different live stations where passers-by can watch staff making Warabi-mochi or Obanyaki, whisking Matcha and assembling Parfaits and Soft Serves.

Founded in 2014, 108 Matcha Saro has four stores in Japan, and another four in Taiwan.
