Uniqlo Singapore celebrates National Day

Uniqlo Singapore is celebrating National Day and its 10th  anniversary in the city state next month.

The Japanese fashion brand will launch its #UTWearYourSingapore campaign, which brings back its T-shirt-printing service UTMe!.

Customers can express their love for Singapore by customising their own UT shirts by using tablets available in store. Customers will be able to paint, insert texts or photographs, or apply themed stickers available to create their one-of-a-kind T-shirts.

Upon submitting their designs on the tablets, the printing of shirts will take approximately 15 minutes after payment, depending on the complexity of the designs and the length of the queue.

In celebration of its 10th  year in the city, Uniqlo Singapore will be partnering with local typography artist Ewejin Tee, to develop 10 unique designs using typography, that depict what selected neighbourhoods are uniquely known for.

The brand is also working with other local artists like Edison Teo, Toby Tan, and Iqbal to create designs that evoke a sense of nostalgia, and encourage Singaporeans to reimagine the future. “Their artworks interpret how the past has transformed into the future, while paying tribute to popular local delicacies, famous landmarks and Singaporeans’ favourite pastimes,” Uniqlo announced in a statement.

The UTMe! service is exclusively available at the Orchard Central global flagship store.
