Lai Sun development Novotown in Zhuhai will open in December

Hong Kong property developer Lai Sun will open its massive Novotown development in Zhuhai on December 6, at the centre of Hengqin.

Novotown’s design features three main architectural highlights including a wave-shaped  shopping mall, a large courtyard garden and the three towers facilitating leisure and business functions.

The two key attractions of Novotown – Lionsgate Entertainment World and National Geographic Ultimate Explorer – were opened earlier this year. Hyatt Regency Hengqin and other entertaining facilities will be launched this December.

“Since we began this project in 2011, we recognised the great potential that Hengqin offered. Through the tremendous efforts of the entire team, this integrated leisure and tourism project is set to open its door to guests. We look forward to offering more diverse leisure and entertainment experiences for our guests by integrating top-notch technology, and further contributing to the development of Hengqin International Leisure and Tourism Island,” said Larry Leung, MD of Novotown.

Ahead of its launch, Novotown is already home to a mix of brands, including the Taiwanese noodle shop Kiki Restaurant, local dessert brands Xiao Man and Considerate Pear. International brands will also join the Novotown lineup.

The Hyatt Regency Hengqin offers 493 guest rooms and suites, six dining outlets, a rooftop bar and other facilities. An ‘edutaining zone’ called Camp Hyatt provides areas for kids’ activities.

To celebrate its launch, Novotown will host a series of campaigns including lucky draws, art displays, lifestyle workshops and a limited-time Single’s Day flash sale.
