Times Square World Market opens as a ‘cultural experience’

Hong Kong Times Square has launched a cultural experience The World Market.

The market features six Instagrammable areas representing six eateries: Hong Kong wet market, French bakery, Caribbean fruit stand, Japanese sushi bar, Italian gelato cart, and a New York deli.

The Hong Kong wet market area resembles the city’s traditional markets with a red lamp light hanging on the roof. The tanks display seafood such as lobsters, crabs and clams. Customers can also take photos at a ‘Peking Duck station’ on the other side.

At the French bakery area, more than 290 breads are displayed.

Visitors can enjoy the tropical vibe at Caribbean Fruit Stand which features more than 260 pieces of tropical fruit plush.

A traditional sushi bar is installed at the Japanese Sushi Bar zone, featuring wooden interiors and Japanese lanterns.

The Italian Gelato Cart demonstrates the country’s famous dessert with pastel-coloured gelato plush,  New York Deli illustrates the retro ambience with the red brick wall and western food items including sausages, steaks and different types of cheese.

The Time Square World Market will remain open until March 26.
