South Korean fast-fashion brand 2358 to open 100 stores in India

South Korean fast-fashion brand 2358 says it plans to open 100 stores in India by the end of this year.

The company, which operates on a franchise model, said it will focus on opening stores in emerging cities.

Director of sales at VRP Telematics, which owns 2358, believes there are few players in the fast-fashion category in India offering strong opportunity for the brand.

Designed by Nift Institutes, the 2358 store concept adds new stock lines every month. The 2358 India stores are designed differently to those in South Korea to fit in with the local market and feature original elements.

“Our in-stores activities include creating selfie content, testimonials from the customers and feedback-based incentives,” said Chandana Gupta, director-sales at VRP Telematics.

“We also have a huge presence online through various social-media handles and we have our WhatsApp channel to ensure a close form of communication with customers,” she said.
