Hong Kong cafe chain The Cupping Room is heading to the heart of Singapore next month.

According to Singapore blog Daniel’s Food Diary, The Cupping Room Coffee Roasters is expected to open at Takashimaya Shopping Centre #02-10A on October 10.

The Cupping Room is known for quality coffee sourced from different farms around the world, including from Ethiopia, Colombia, Kenya, Honduras and El Salvador.

Coffee alternatives are also being offered such as Prana Chai Tea lattes, hot and iced chocolate while Oatley oat-based barista-craft beverage as a milk alternative.

Aside from that, the chain serves breakfasts, lunches and cafe foods.

The Cupping Room was founded in 2011 in Stanley Plaza, Stanley, Hong Kong Island. The company’s initial goal was to provide roasted and prepared coffee to Hongkongers.

But it proved popular, two years later moving to Sheung Wan, expanding in the process to include Australian-inspired cafe fare.

In 2014, another shop was added in Wan Chai and in 2015 a Central store followed, with an on-site bakery.  The coffee chain also wholesales coffee beans.
