Hermes has unveiled its new store at the Harbour City shopping centre, double the size of its previous boutique there.  

The store is located on the ground floor of the mall, covering 610sqm fronting on to Canton Road.

The store’s facade features a roof of aluminium tiles, which resembles “the scales of a dragon that vibrate with movement and light”. Floor-to-ceiling windows are installed, allowing visitors to see women’s silk collections from the outside. 

Designed by Parisian architecture agency RDAI, the store presents a warm ambience. Inside the store, the high ceilings and L-shaped layout creates a “roaming and inviting perspective” according to the brand. Classical architectural elements are also featured, including the mineral mosaic tiles and Grecques moulded lighting. 

Hermes Harbour City houses a spacious shoe salon and VIP fitting rooms. The store offers a full collection of perfume, fashion jewellery, and the recently launched Hermes beauty lines. The “women’s universe” features the soft, feminine shade of old rose, while the “men’s universe” is pale green. 

Customers can also access the store from the mall via a second entrance. This passage is punctuated by boxes, some of which feature walls of carved bamboo. According to the company, these boxes provide intimate spaces to display collections.
