Nutritional supplements retailer The Vitamin Shoppe has launched its first Vietnam shop in partnership with Kim Lien Group ahead of a multi-store rollout.
Located in Hanoi’s Hoan Kiem district, the 1500sqft store houses an assortment of vitamins, supplements, and other health and wellness products under The Vitamin Shoppe’s proprietary brands, which include its namesake, BodyTech and, True Athlete.
CEO of The Vitamin Shoppe, Sharon Leite, said the company sees strong interest and increasing demand for high-quality health-and-wellness brands in Vietnam.
“We continue to see additional opportunities with international partners and plan to expand The Vitamin Shoppe into new growth markets,” Leite said.
Kim Lien Group said it will open a second outlet in the city later this month.
The supplement retailer operates more than 20 stores across Panama, Guatemala and Paraguay. Vietnam is its first destination in Asia.
“Kim Lien Group realised that the Vietnam market could benefit tremendously from the products and services of The Vitamin Shoppe,” said Anh Hoang, vice chairman of Kim Lien Group.
According to Hoang, Vietnamese consumers have been facing serious issues with fake supplements or products from unreliable sources. By partnering with The Vitamin Shoppe, the company aims to end that fear and bring high quality nutritional products to local customers.
