As the world’s largest coffeehouse chain, Starbucks is well aware of its responsibility to offer an inclusive space for all its customers, and its efforts to be more accessible to people with disability are setting the standard for other retailers globally. Last month, Starbucks introduced a new technology at all US stores that supports blind and low vision customers in making orders. Aira technology connects users to remote visual interpreters who instantly decipher text via a smartphone app.
