SPC Group-owned Paris Baguette has launched its first Cambodia store in Phnom Penh under a joint venture with local firm HSC Group.

Spanning three stories, the first Cambodia store is located in the heart of Boeung Keng Kang. Besides its bread and pastry offerings, the store houses an all-day dining menu featuring kinds of pasta and risottos.

Cambodia marks the sixth country that Paris Baguette has expanded into. Launched in 1988 by SPC Group’s subsidiary Paris Croissant, the South Korean bakery chain operates stores across China, Vietnam, Singapore, France and the US.

The Cambodia launch is part of SPC Group’s strategy to strengthen its presence in Southeast Asia.

“The Cambodian store will serve as the springboard for SPC to expand its presence in Southeast Asia, which has emerged as a key market, along with China and the US,” the company said.
