Fresh opens its first travel retail store with Lagardere outside Europe

Skin care and body care brand Fresh has launched its first retail counter with Lagardere at the Hainan Tourism Downtown Duty Free Shopping Complex in Sanya. 

Located in the centre of the complex, the Fresh retail counter’s look follows the design of Fresh flagship store in New York City’s Union Square. Fresh Sanya features elements such as the moving pixelated canvas at the entrance and a wall in lime wash paint highlighting Fresh’s signature sky blue. 

“This launch has been part of Fresh’s continued expansion in Hainan, signalling the exciting growth opportunity we see in the China market,” said Ji-Un Han, GM of Fresh Travel Retail Apac. 

The store is highlighted with a custom chandelier and a colourful mosaic tile floor. The brand also installed a giant outdoor 3D digital video screen at the main entrance of the shopping mall, showcasing the brand’s best-selling collections and its campaigns. 

“The new Fresh store elevates not only the Fresh experience but also in line with the strategy for Lagardere to enhance the shopping experience in Sanya with the broadest and trendiest brand portfolio,” Terry Chua, VP of Lagardere Duty Free Merchandising Asia. 

“That applies especially to Hainan because it’s a leisure destination where travellers are open to new discoveries.”
