Amazon launches in South Korea on local platform 11st

Amazon is expanding its reach to South Korea with the launch of its global store in partnership with local e-commerce platform 11st. 

South Korean customers now have access to one of the largest international selections available online in the country, said Amazon, with tens of millions of Amazon US products directly from 11st.  

“11st shares our customer obsession, and together we are working to expand our product selection, give customers even greater value, and continually improve the shopping experience,” said Somana Konganda, director of Amazon Global.

Amazon’s offering spans more than 30 categories, including PC, toys, fashion, consumer electronics and kitchen. The launch also marks 11st’s most extensive bookstore, with millions of books available at customers’ fingertips through the deal.

“The launch of Amazon Global Store on 11st brings together the best of 11st’s local know-how and Amazon’s global retailing experience,” said Sangho Lee, CEO of 11st.
