Kering names president of North & Southeast Asia-Pacific business

Kering has appointed Thierry Marty as the new president of its businesses in North & Southeast Asia Pacific.

In his new role, Marty will report to Jean-Francois Palus, Group MD of Kering, and will be based in Seoul. He will oversee the group’s businesses in Japan, South Korea, Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand.

“Having lived more than 20 years in Asia, Thierry brings extensive experience and in-depth knowledge of the luxury industry in these markets,” said Palus. “We are convinced that he will add an important contribution to the implementation of our strategy in North and South-East Asia Pacific.”

The company said the newly-created position will reinforce its corporate team in Apac, supporting the long-term development of its business in the region. Marty started his career at Deloitte before joining LVMH in 1995. He held finance and general management roles at Fendi, Celine, Bulgari and Louis Vuitton.

Meanwhile, Kering’s business in Greater China remains unchanged, with Jinqing Cai, president of Kering Greater China leading the local corporate teams.
