Paris Baguette enters Indonesia

South Korea’s bakery, Paris Baguette, is set to make its Indonesia debut next month under a joint venture partnership with local company Erajaya Food & Nourishment (EFN).

The country’s first Paris Baguette outlets will be opened in Jakarta and managed and operated by EFN’s subsidiary, Era Boga Patiserindo. The Indonesia launch follows the brand’s debut in Cambodia last June, marking the South Korean bakery’s fourth market in Southeast Asia after Vietnam and Singapore.

“[Paris Baguette’s] commitment to innovation and quality is in line with our vision to become a leading F&B player in Indonesia,” said Gabrielle Halim, CEO of EFN. “We are certain the food lovers in Indonesia will welcome and enjoy Paris Baguette’s fresh concept and unique offerings when we open our first stores shortly.”

VP of SPC Group’s Paris Baguette Southeast Asia, Hana Lee, said the brand’s expansion into Indonesia is part of SPC Group’s globalisation strategy. The company is also eyeing a return to Malaysia.

Paris Baguette currently operates about 430 stores across the US, France, China and Southeast Asia.
