FamilyMart Malaysia launches ‘Food Superstores’ format

FamilyMart Malaysia has introduced a food store concept dubbed ‘Food Superstores’, with 20 new stores slated to open by the end of this year.

The first two concept stores have opened doors to the public in Sri Petaling and Bandar Puteri Puchong.

Different to the usual FamilyMart convenience store, Food Superstores focus on ready-to-eat and frozen foods, offering larger seating areas for customers. The concept store also follows a distinctive design with more elegant elements. Seating areas, including for individuals and groups, are separated by transparent glass barriers.

The new stores house more than 100 products ranging from Japanese snacks to ready-to-eat food, freshly cooked dishes and desserts. The company aims to open Food Superstores in each state where it is present by the end of this year. The launch of the new concept store also falls inline with FamilyMart’s fifth year anniversary in the country.
