Paul Smith to open men’s flagship store in Tokyo’s Ginza

UK fashion label, Paul Smith, is set to launch a men’s flagship store in Tokyo’s bustling shopping district Ginza next month.

Located in the corner of Harumi and Namiki Roads, the store has three floors dedicated to menswear and accessories, including a personalisation service. Paul Smith Ginza is scheduled to open its doors to the public on December 24.

The store facade is covered with green and blue cladding made by bending aluminum in a three-dimensional zigzag shape spanning the ground to the second floor. When viewed from the front, the stripes that are the design signature of the brand appear. In addition, green marble is arranged on the pedestal of the exterior.

The basement houses ‘Made to Measure’, a personalised suit-ordering service. The exclusive fitting and consultation space is furnished with mid-century modern furniture and gray limestone flooring.

The ground floor, inspired by the “Glass House” designed by Pierre Charlo, is highlighted with grey flooring and bare steel. The floor presents the brand’s full selection of accessories, including glass accessory fixtures inspired by Carlo Scarpa.

The upper floor houses the brand’s latest selection of men’s wear fashion, including the first line ‘Paul Smith’, and the diffusion line ‘PS Paul Smith’. The space is decorated with bright-coloured theme with orange fighting rooms, a light blue cash desk, and an olive green leather table.
