Hong Kong restaurant operator Pirata Group has introduced a neighbourhood supply line called Pirata Mart.

For the next few weeks, chefs will be preparing what the company describes as a gourmet feast menu, with dishes and groceries available for takeaway or pick-up from selected restaurants.

The limited-time takeaway menu called the Pirata Feast is also available for guests who want to enjoy the nighttime at-home dining experience, given restaurants must close by 6pm daily due to government social-distancing regulations. Patrons can pick up their orders from a specific restaurant in either Soho (Meats), Sheung Wan (Honjo) or Hennessy Road (The Optimist).

The group has also opened an Italian restaurant in Taikoo called La Favorita that will offer set lunch takeaway menus and a selection of the house’s dishes.

Manuel Palacio, co-founder and CEO of Pirata Group said: “We know grocery stores are absolutely crazy right now and many including restaurants, supermarkets are adjusting their operating times and closing earlier.

“We are trying to make it as easy as possible for our guests to get food and be able to restock,” he said.

The Pirata Feast takeaway menu is available daily from 6am to 7.30pm while La Favorita set lunch is available for pick up from Monday to Friday between noon and 5pm.

Meanwhile, French-Japanese steakhouse Bifteck has released a “treasure box” of “East-meets-West fusion specialties” making it possible for gourmands to prepare an upmarket feast at home amid pandemic dining restrictions. From March 14, the Bifteck Takarabako will be available for self pick-up between 12 noon and 6pm, or delivery between 3.30pm and 6.30pm.
