Former Avon China GM, Irving Holmes Wong, has joined Pandora as the company’s new GM and senior VP of Greater China.

In his new role, Wong will lead Pandora’s growth in the Greater Chian cluster, reporting to CCO Martino Pessina. Prior to Pandora, Wong worked at Avon as MD of Asiapacific and GM of China. He also held senior management positions at Bacardi-Martini, Revlon and L’Oreal.

“Irving is a senior executive who has successfully transformed and grown businesses in China and neighbouring markets,” said Pessina.

“He is a strategic brand-builder and brings valuable turnaround and growth-acceleration experience that will help us strengthen our position in Greater China and reach our Phoenix targets.”

Based in Shanghai, Wong will start his new role on April 7.

The appointment is part of Pandora’s long-term strategy to triple its Chinese business compared to 2019. The Danish jeweller currently has 250 concept stores across Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macau. Pandora generated US$163.4 million in revenue in Mainland China last year, accounting for approximately 5 per cent of the company’s revenue.
