Japanese luxury brand, Sake Hundred, is expanding into the retail business with its first brick-and-mortar store to open on Tokyo’s Ginza street later this year.

Themed ‘filling the heart and colouring life’, Sake Hundred Ginza Tokyo will offer retail experience in different forms, including providing pairing dishes devised for the store and each Sake Hundred product. The flagship store will directly tell the brand story and guide customers to the product that is “close to their feelings” according to the company.

“Sake Hundred’s new store is a place that expresses modern international values as well as Japanese,” said Mineaki Saito, director of Clear, which owns the brand.

“It is important to nurture this brand with sincerity and humility because it is a city where people who are knowledgeable and affectionate about Japanese culture gather.”

Founded in 2018, Sake Hundred was rebranded in 2020 to make it a luxury brand. Its products are sold across Dubai, Singapore and Hong Kong, with a plan to expand into other countries including the US, UK, Canada and Australia.
