How Aussie supermarket Coles is supporting LGBTQIA+ staff

Australian supermarket Coles recently made the shift to offer its employees 10 days of paid gender affirmation leave. Coles had offered this leave without pay since 2020, but made the change after realising it can better support its staff members who identify as transgender. Since making the offer, the number of Coles’ workers that were comfortable identifying themselves as transgender in the workplace shortly increased from 900 to 1,100. “It’s really exciting,” Coles’ general manager
