Japanese beauty brand Suqqu’s China partner Ushopal has launched the brand’s first cross-border retail experience store in the country, inside the Bonnie & Clyde store at Shanghai’s Kerry Center. The two companies aim to further expand Suqqu’s presence in Mainland China through Bonnie & Clyde’s store network.

Suqqu entered China two years ago in partnership with Ushopal. This latest expansion is part of the brand’s strategy to enhance its online and offline presence in China and improve its in-store customer experience.

Last year, Suqqu launched offline, opening a counter in the Bonnie & Clyde store at CNSC’s downtown duty-free location in the Yueda 889 Plaza Shopping Mall in Shanghai.

The luxury beauty retailer Bonnie & Clyde, which caters to millennials and Gen Z, will open its physical location in Chengdu and double the number of its retail locations in China’s top luxury malls, where it will have storefronts next to international brands like Chanel, Hermès, and Dior.

As China’s luxury goods market rapidly expands, Ushopal has a more ambitious vision after its investments in luxury beauty brands Chantecaille and Natura Bissé from New York, as well as UK’s Argentum, a favourite of Chinese celebrities.

“Our vision has always been to build the leading luxury beauty brand group in China that gives Chinese consumers the opportunity to experience the very best global brands and with this exclusive retail partnership we are building on our vision,” said Lu Guo, Ushopal’s founder and CEO.
