London-based perfume retailer Jo Malone has opened its first physical location in Vietnam, after opening a duty-free presence at Ho Chi Minh City’s Tan Son Nhat airport in 2019. 

The brick-and-mortar store is located at Diamond Plaza, one of the most well-known shopping malls in Ho Chi Minh, and is designed with a warm colour tone and flowers throughout. 

Jo Malone opened the store with a launch function last month, attended by many Vietnamese singers, actors, and KOLs. 

Customers can purchase Jo Malone’s exclusive perfume including Lime Basil & Mandarin, English Pear & Freesia and Wood Sage & Sea Salt, as well as its scented candles and body lotions at the store. 

Acquired by Estee Lauder in 1999, Jo Malone has operations in 77 markets worldwide with a focus on high-end consumers. 

Founder Jo Malone launched her second brand, Jo Loves, in 2011 and debuted its first retail location in the UK in 2013. That label is now sold in a variety of markets, including the US, Japan, China and South Korea. 

According to Vogue Business, Jo Loves has joint ventures with the Chinese distribution company SYoung and the South Korean department store Shinsegae.
