Spanish footwear brand Toni Pons is expanding into the Philippines, opening its first stores at SM Megamall, Robinsons Place Manila and The Hue Hotel Boracay.

The brand, in collaboration with local distributor Catalonia Enterprise Inc, aims to open 15 outlets in the country by the end of this year.

The current Toni Pons’ founder and president and third-generation family member, Jordi Pons, is leading the business. The brand strives to maintain its status as both a Spanish heritage brand and an international brand that makes high-end, fashionable, and comfortable espadrilles shoes for all.

Toni Pons items have a Mediterranean vibe due to their origins in Spain. The tropical environment of the Philippines is also considered to be appropriate for the brand’s ideal of casual elegance and freshness.

Pons told local sources that the brand is to create Philippine-exclusive designs and include local sustainable materials in future initiatives.
