French fashion label Maison Margiela has made its debut in India with the launch of a brick-and-mortar store in Mumbai’s Jio World Drive shopping centre.

The store opening was in partnership with L’Oréal International Distribution and the Indian department store chain Shoppers Stop.

The venue offers the brand’s fashion and accessories ranges, as well as the ‘Replica’ perfume line and its beauty offering. The design highlights include an all-white colour palette and a minimalist, modern look.

Founded in 1988 by Belgian designer Martin Margiela, Maison Margiela began with a luxury clothing line. The Paris-headquartered brand later expanded into jewellery, accessories, shoes, leather items, and fragrances.

Gaetano Sciuto was appointed as the brand’s CEO in June last year, while Stefano Rosso was named president.
