Sports retailer Hoka has launched its first brick-and-mortar store in Singapore, as part of its plan to strengthen its retail footprint in Apac.
The new Ion Orchard store, located on B4, will feature Hoka’s whole line of footwear, from everyday walking to running footwear, lifestyle, and outdoors.
The store’s design is based on the concept of landscapes as artificial components, which the brand says pays homage to its birthplace on Mont Blanc, and conveys sentiments of freedom and exploration.
It features components influenced by natural and urban surroundings, including mountain profiles, rock-shaped benches, asphalt, and trail demo spaces.
As Singapore’s first brand store, it is equipped with 3D foot scanning technology – SafeSize – to recommend the best fit and models to customers.
“We have been experiencing strong demand for Hoka in Singapore in the past few years, with an increased interest in running,” said Prasanna Bhaskar, GM of Sr director Apac distribution, e-commerce for Hoka.
“We are very excited to announce the first official Hoka store to ramp up our presence in the region and offer the running community a space where they can interact with our running advisors.”
Hoka also announced this week its first store in New Zealand, which will be located at the premium outlet centre Manaway Bay, located near Auckland Airport.
