Smartphone sales soar in SE Asia

Nearly 120 million smartphones have been sold in the seven key southeast Asian markets in just 12 months. Parkson to open Cambodia Mall

Pan Asian retailer Parkson is expanding into Cambodia. Parkson is to open a shopping mall in the country’s capital city at Russian Boulevard in Daun Penh District in the fourth quarter of 2015. The new 70,200 sqm development will be anchored by a department store. Dufry renews Cambodian concessions

Swiss travel retailer Dufry has renewed its concessions contracts at Phnom Penh and Siem Reap International Airports – and has been awarded additional retail space. Dufry will continue to operate duty free retailing at both airports until 2020 and has also been awarded a further 1670 sqm of space, allowing it to expand its current 773 sqm retail area in Phnom Penh to 1550 sqm and its 571 sqm in Siam Reap to 1464 sqm.
