Yum! Brands said same stores in China fell five per cent in October, dragged down by its KFC business. KFC’s sales declined seven per cent last month as it struggles with competition. QSR giant Yum! Brands has opened its 40,000th restaurant – a flagship KFC store in Goa, India. KFC is the fastest growing quick-service restaurant brand in India, tripling in size over the last five years to 296 restaurants. Fast food chain operator Yum! Brands has reported a disappointing third quarter performance as it continues to struggle in China. Yum! says profit for the quarter ended September 7 plunged 68 per cent on soft KFC China sales.
