Walmart-backed online store Yihaodian is expanding its distribution network through a new partnership.

China-based Yihaodian has partnered with FamilyMart to enable customers pick up and pay for their orders at 300 participating FamilyMart outlets in Shanghai.

Customers need to show valid IDs and present the verification code sent by Yihaodian to their mobile phone upon pick up.

The partnership is part of Yihaodian’s effort to boost delivery efficiency and lower logistics cost.

Other Chinese online retailers including Taobao and Tmall have also partnered with grocery and convenience stores for pick-up option.
