He worked as CFO for L’Oreal China in 2006, for L’Oreal Western Europe in 2012, and was then named Global CFO for L’Oreal Consumer Cosmetics a year later.  As the head of L’Oreal’s Consumer Cosmetics Division in China, du Retail oversaw the 2017 launch of 3CE and he also led the expansion of Maybelline and L’Oreal Paris in the market.  Prior to receiving his most recent promotion, he worked for the company as group e-commerce GM in France from October 2020 until early this year. With Korea driving the global beauty market with K-beauty trends, du Retail says he is looking forward to his new role, adding he will concentrate on cooperative leadership to keep L’Oreal on its “cutting-edge course” in the region. 7-Eleven names new general manager of channel Fiona Hayes has been appointed 7-Eleven Australia’s general manager of channel, following almost three decades at Telstra. “I’m so excited to have joined 7-Eleven at a time when it is changing the face of convenience retailing in Australia by going beyond the traditional food offering, introducing new store formats, and providing greater digital choices for customers,” Hayes said.  “While innovation is critical, retail is detail, and I’m focused on ensuring our stores are beautifully presented, our customers receive friendly and fast service, and they have access to our full range of products 24/7.” In this new role, Hayes is responsible for growing 7-Eleven’s business through new channels, as well as managing the company’s franchising, leasing, construction, maintenance and operational support of its stores.  According to Convenience and Impulse Retailing, 7-Eleven is going through a period of expansion throughout regional Australia, planning 70 new stores in the next two years.  Melissa Drennan trades The Iconic for Catch The Iconic’s chief growth and business development officer Melissa Drennan is stepping down to take up a role at Catch as GM of Retail. Drennan will start her new role in mid September, and said she is looking forward to working with the wider Catch team, as well as One Digital and Wesfarmers to take Catch to the next level. “The Iconic has not only been my second home for the past decade, it’s been where I have personally grown in more ways than one,” Drennan wrote on Linkedin. “Continuously learning, adapting, evolving in a fast pace and hyper growth environment – I’ve taken on new roles, learned new skills, but most importantly [I’ve] made some truly lifelong friends. “What the many teams, both past and present, have achieved to bring to you The Iconic of now is truly game changing, and I couldn’t be more proud of being part of that journey.” Drennan started her journey at the business in 2013 as merchandise planner, and worked her way to merchandise planning director before taking on a group-wide role at The Iconic’s owner Global Fashion Group as director of strategic projects.  In 2019 Drennan returned to The Iconic as marketing director of growth and strategy.
