Japanese beauty company Kose has acquired Bangkok-based beauty brand Panpuri for an undisclosed sum via Lakeshore Capital and other shareholders.

Kazutoshi Kobayashi, CEO and President of Kose Corporation, stated that the acquisition will bolster the Thai beauty brand’s global expansion and position it as a luxury wellness brand from Asia.

“Aside from its effectiveness as a cosmetic product, Panpuri’s traditional approach and commitment to fragrance has been handed down since ancient times in Thailand,” he continued.

“Its sophisticated product design, which is comfortable to use and enriches the mind, has a high affinity with our company, which has inherited tradition and innovation since its foundation and continues to pursue sensual quality.”

Established in 2003, Panpuri is known for its range of premium bath and body, hair care, skincare and fragrance products, which take inspiration from Thai indigenous wellness practices.

Panpuri founder and CEO Vorravit Siripark said this partnership is a significant step for Panpuri, allowing the brand to promote holistic wellness globally.

“Together with Kose, we can bring our unique approach to well-being to new horizons while staying true to the core values that define who we are,” added Siripark.

PwC Thailand acted as the exclusive lead financial advisor to Panpuri.
