Ame opens in Hong Kong

Ame Group has created a digitally-advanced and personalised experience for shoe lovers in Hong Kong – a virtual and physical luxury shoe club.

The virtual shoe club enables shoe-lovers to fill in a style quiz at http://www.shopame.com. A personalised showroom of shoes chosen by Amé’s stylists will be ready for the customer according to her unique style within 24 hours. All Ame members will receive a new collection of shoes selected by its stylists on the 1st of every month. Members then have the option of purchasing the shoes at HK$1290 each or enrolling in the free VIP program with the benefit of paying HK$550 per pair of shoes.

A VIP member can then pay HK$550 per pair or just simply skip the month by the 5th of every month without any charge. During the first month of launch period, the shoes will also be delivered to Hong Kong and southeast Asia free of charge.

Alternatively, customers can try on and purchase Amé’s shoes at its physical concept store in Causeway Bay.

“We want to connect the brand to its widest audience ever and drive true customer engagement. In a digitally-connected world, we need to speak in a language that our customers care about,” said MD Flora Ho.

“They prize peer-to-peer recommendations through social media, and are more likely to appreciate the personalised stylist experience in a privileged club. The emergence of social media and prevalence of e-commerce has further accelerated this phenomenon that sets a perfect backdrop for Ame to launch in Asia,” continued Ho.

Ame was founded by a group of shoe connoisseurs along with a luxury shoe manufacturer. Besides creating and designing high-end shoes for women, the group also customise and personalise shoes. Ame’s shoes are all made in their own production bases in Hong Kong and Italy.
