American Eagle Outfitters has appointed Kitty Yung as EVP/president for Asia Pacific.

“Kitty is proven retail executive with extensive brand management, retail development and multi-national operations experience, spanning over 20 years,” said CEO Robert Hanson.

“This appointment supports our global geographic and channel growth, while aligning with our strategic plan of fortifying core assets.”

Previously, Yung was president for Asia Pacific at Guess, with responsibility across the region including China, India, Southeast Asia and Australia/New Zealand. While at Guess, she grew the business to over 200 stores in Greater China.

Yung previously held a number of leadership roles in apparel general management, supply chain and consumer goods in the Asia Pacific region. With in-depth experience and business development skills, Kitty will be instrumental in the expansion of AEO’s brands and company-operated stores across China, the retailer said.
