Bosideng seeks British partner

Chinese menswear retailer Bosideng is planning further expansion in the UK.

From its first store opening in London in July 2012, Bosideng now plans to spread its presence through shops-in-shops at department stores.

To accelerate its expansion, Bosideng is seeking to partner with a local retailer, says its CEO for British operations Wayne Zhu, who confirms that they’re currently in talks with several potential partners.

“In the next year, we are going to focus on entering the high-end department stores,” he said.

Zhu also said that the London store has been performing strongly with sales up 50 per cent over the past two months, boosted by high demand from British consumers as well as tourists from North America, Russia and the Middle East.

Bosideng also plans expansion into the US.

The retailer founded by Gao Dekang has 11,000 stores in its home market.
