H&M adds China store

Swedish clothing brand H&M has opened a new store in China – in Baoding, Hebei province.

The store spans 1500 sqm and carries H&M’s range of products including clothing, accessories, underwear and sportswear for men, women and teenagers.

According to Magnus Olsson, H&M’s GM for Greater China, Malaysia and Singapore, the new store demonstrates the company’s confidence in China, where it has achieved rapid growth since it entered the market in 2007.

H&M currently has more than 158 stores across China and Hong Kong and more than 3000 stores in 53 markets.

Earlier this month, H&M opened its first store in Indonesia at Gandaria City in Jakarta.
